Privacy and data protection

Your privacy matters.

This notice describes how the present version of Pocket Puzzles handles visitor data, local game preferences, and hosting.

1. Who is responsible?

The operator of Pocket Puzzles is responsible for deciding how personal data is processed for this website. The operator's legally required name, service address, and direct contact details have not yet been supplied for publication. They must be added to a linked Impressum / Legal Notice and to this policy before this can be considered a complete GDPR information notice.

2. Visiting the website

When you visit a page, technical connection data may be processed so the site can load and remain secure. This can include your IP address, time and date of the request, requested URL, browser or device information, response status, and information used to detect unwanted traffic. We do not run our own visitor account system or application-level request logging in the current site code.

Purpose and legal basis: Delivery of the website, maintaining availability, and protecting against abusive traffic. To the extent the site operator determines this processing, the intended legal basis is legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. The legitimate interests are reliable website delivery and IT security.

Hosting recipient: Cloudflare provides the content-delivery infrastructure for this site. Cloudflare may process technical traffic data and necessary security information according to its product settings and contractual terms. We recommend reviewing Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.

3. International processing

Cloudflare is a US-based provider with a global network. Processing or access outside the EEA may occur. Cloudflare makes a Data Processing Addendum available, including terms for international transfers. The precise safeguards applicable to the operator's Cloudflare account and processing must be checked before this notice is finalized.

4. Optional browser storage for game scores

Path Finder works without an account or saved scores. By default, the game keeps your current play and best times only in the current page session. The game offers an optional “Remember my scores” checkbox. If you turn it on, the site stores best times and completed-puzzle markers in your browser's local storage under pocket-puzzles-path-finder-v1. The site also saves your choice under pocket-puzzles-remember-scores-v1 so it can respect your preference on later visits.

The game does not send those saved scores to a server or synchronize them between devices. This optional storage is based on your choice; where consent is required under Section 25 TDDDG, your action provides that choice. You can withdraw it at any time by turning the checkbox off. Doing so removes both game scores and the saved preference, or you can clear site data for puzzle-arcade.pages.dev in your browser settings. If you never enable it, no persistent score history is intentionally stored by the game.

5. Cookies, analytics, and advertising

The current Pocket Puzzles source code does not include advertising tags, Google Analytics, social tracking pixels, or behavioral profiling scripts. Cloudflare Web Analytics was not enabled in the Pages project settings when checked on 14 October 2026. We do not currently operate a marketing or advertising consent banner because no optional analytics or advertising trackers were identified.

Cloudflare may use technically necessary cookies or other security technologies to deliver and protect the service. These are not the same as advertising cookies. If optional tracking or new integrations are introduced, this policy and any legally required consent controls must be updated first.

6. Retention

Your optional browser scores remain on your device until you turn off “Remember my scores”, clear the site's browser data, or your browser removes them. Technical hosting data is processed according to the purposes, security requirements, and retention settings applicable to Cloudflare's services. Exact hosting-log retention periods and operator-controlled settings still need to be verified.

7. Your data protection rights

Where applicable, you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, or data portability, and you may object to processing based on legitimate interests. You may withdraw consent for optional browser storage without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing. Some rights depend on the data and legal basis involved. Requests must be directed to the responsible site operator once the required contact details are published.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Baden-Württemberg, the Landesbeauftragter für den Datenschutz und die Informationsfreiheit Baden-Württemberg (LfDI) handles data protection complaints within its remit.

8. Children, external links, and changes

The current site offers free logic games for a general audience and does not provide player registration, user-to-user messaging, or a feature for submitting personal information. Please do not submit personal details through unrelated third-party links. External sites have their own privacy policies.

This notice will be revised if the operator adds accounts, analytics, advertisements, payments, newsletters, or new data processors. It describes the version reviewed on 14 October 2026.

Not yet complete: The operator identity, publicly reachable contact details, and verified Cloudflare retention/transfer configuration still need to be added. Until then, this should be treated as a working transparency notice, not a fully completed Article 13 GDPR notice.
